After eight months of incarceration, Young Money's fearless leader, Lil Wayne is a free man. Lil Wayne walked out of Rikers Island Thursday morning around 8:35AM. The rapper had been serving time for a July 2007 gun-possession charge.

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire (well, the basement actually)!!! Lil Wayne's sentencing in a New York City courthouse has once again been delayed due to a fire in the basement of the courthouse . That's right, the New York City courthouse was on fire....I can't make this stuff up!!! This is definitely the stuff that Hollywood blockbusters are made of! I cannot wait for the Eazy Breezy Weezy Hollywood movie!

Omarion has signed with EMI Records and is set to release his new album "Ollusion" under his newly created Starworld Entertainment label on November 24. Since going solo in 2005, the former B2K lead has released the platinum selling album "O", followed by "21" in 2006 and a joint venture with Bow Wow in 2007, "Face Off". Since this time, however, Omarion has bounced around a bit. He worked with Timbaland's Mosley Music Group however no album was released. He then signed with Lil Wayne's Young Money for about two hot seconds before announcing his departure from the label.
Omarion is maturing and probably in search of his musical soul. "My style has evolved so much on this album -- I was able to express truly who I am from a creative and artistic standpoint, which allowed me to share a personal side of myself with my fans through my music. This is my masterpiece and I can't wait for the world to hear my new album,". I think leaving Young Money was probably a good move for Omarion as the label may not have been the best fit for this R&B singer. The first single off the album "I Get In" featuring Gucci Mane is set for release Oct 5.
RCS P.S. - Did y'all see Khloe Kardashian nationally televised dismissal of Omarion's romantic gestures? I wonder if he is invited to her wedding this weekend? Omarion repeat after me "all's well that ends well"...

BET has announced the nominees for the 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards. Leading the pack, is Kanye West with nine nominations. Lil Wayne and Jay-Z are not far behind. Ice Cube will get the "I Am Hip Hop Icon Award". Some surprises, no Lil Wayne in the Best Hip Hop Video
Once again, the BET Hip Hop Awards show will be held in Hotlanta. The show will be taped on October 10 and air on October 27 at 8pm. This year's show will be hosted by comedian Mike Epps.

It is being reported but still not yet confirmed that yesterday Lauren London (pictured left) and Lil Wayne gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. The Lil boy weighed in at 7 lbs 12 ounces and 21 inches long. The name of the baby is still unconfirmed.
Lil Wayne is expecting another baby any minute now. Nivea is still preggers but I saw her last week and she looks like she's having a boy too! Congrats to Lil Wayne and Lauren!
