For the first time ever, the Soul Train Awards recognized the genre of reggae music. Big ups to the producers of the show for recognizing the significance of reggae music in America and, indeed, all over the globe. A huge congratulations to pop dancehall king Sean Paul. Sean Paul won the first ever award for Reggae Artist of the Year. Big ups to the other nominees in the category included Serani, Ziggy Marley, Taurus Riley and Mavado. Reggae royalty, Gramps and Una Morgan, held a Soul Train Awards after-party to celebrate reggae music and its enthusiasts. By the way, Gramps Morgan's first solo project "2 Sides of My Heart" is now available for purchase and is doing very well on the charts. "One In A Million" is in the top 15 on the New York Singles chart while "2 Sides Of My Heart" is holding the #1 spot on the Albums chart. My personal favorite "Wash the Tears" continues to be a fan favorite!
