Ok, boys and girls hold on tight! Your girl Red Carpet Shelley is about to hit the streets hard this weekend!!! This weekend kicks off Atlanta's 21st Annual Caribbean Carnival. This year's carnival promises to deliver some of the best that the Caribbean has to offer and is fast becoming one of the most anticipated Carnival event in the United States. There will be lots of good food, colorful costumes (some too small!), lots of good music - soca, reggae, reggaeton, etc. On Saturday, May 23, the Parade of Bands will begin at 12 noon and wind its way through the streets of downtown Atlanta culminating at Carnival Village on Auburn Avenue. On tap for performances this year include, Destra, Patch, Burning Flames, Ziggy Rankings, Benji and many others. In addition, there will be lots of fetes, parties, jukin', whining, and the like!!!
